For a long time I had wanted to shoot the Maldives. I was nervous on the flight there – would it be as beautiful as many of the images I had seen? Would the tropical weather be kind? I realized 15 mins after landing it was even better. On a coral Atoll only 150m wide you don’t as much go in search of photographs as find a comfortable spot to view the passing kaleidoscope of unbelievable blues and greens. You learn to become more attuned to the changing light and weather. This was my spot..in an outcrop of palm trees with enough shade to follow the sun around and shoot the “rhythm of the day”. The light and color is amazing as is the abundance of wildlife beneath the water – a place to have on the “return” list
